There is a pivotal scene in Blood in the Past that involves my main character, Lyla, and fire. I canāt say much more without giving anything away (wink, wink). But I knew I wanted the whole cover to be fiery. She also has a Zippo lighter thatās engraved with āHome is Where Your Story Begins.ā This morphs into a sort of mantra for her, so I knew I wanted to include the Zippo. Kit Foster ofĀ http://www.kitfosterdesign.com/Ā came highly recommended to me from another author and he worked tirelessly until the image was just right. In turn, I highly recommend him and will most definitely use his services again in the future.
