Good day faithful followers! I’m glad you’re here. Today I’m participating in this awesome group promotion and giveaway. Not only was I excited to receive a copy of “Momnesia” in exchange for a fair and honest review, but it’s all part of the Sizzling Winter Blog Hop & Treasure Hunt! (I said that last part with my game show voice, in case you couldn’t tell.)
Behold, my review of Momnesia, by Lori Verni-Fogarsi:
When I first signed up for this blog hop, I feared I wouldn’t be able to relate to the content. But as an avid [My Treasure Hunt Word] BIBLIOBIBULI, I gave it a whirl. Then the book opened with the following quote: “For Everyone who has ever…Been a mother, had a mother, wanted to be a mother, judged a mother, or even just wondered about mothers.” Well there ya go! My favorite feature of the story is that it reads like a memoir. In fact, I had to keep reminding myself that it wasn’t written by an underappreciated wife and mother who had decided to take back her livelihood. In fact, it sounded like an extended op-ed piece from Cosmo. Or Eat, Pray, Love without the frequent flyer miles. Completely engrossing and such a breeze to read! I finished it in less than 24 hours. I’m recently married and without kids, so I still couldn’t exactly relate to the story, but it was still entertaining and I’m sure I’ll be able to draw upon it in the future. Although I hope my husband never gives me the “cat face.” Ever. (You have to hurry up and go read the book to get that reference, sorry folks.)

It’s been brought to my attention that because of the way in which this post had to be pre-published (as opposed to scheduled), none of my followers/subscribers received the notification email. I thought I would re-blog it. Good luck in the giveaways!
Ok, so how do I get entered into the draw for one of your ADORABLE Tote Bags? 😉
Xx
Hi! If you go back to the original post, there’s a rafflecopter link above the image of the tote bag. Click it and it should bring you to a widget with three options to enter the drawing. WordPress doesn’t support the widget, that’s why it’s not actually within the post. 😦
Good luck!
Done, I think lol 🙂

Yep!
I think I’ve done it right lol 😉
Book sounds definitely like something I’d be able to relate to!

Haha, yes it was an entertaining read.
And I think you did it right too because the number of entries went up, haha. Thanks.
I do like the cover of the book and the concept. As a retired Air Force single stay-at-home mommy, this is a perfect read for me. I’ve kinda lost the desire to beautify myself when I go out because I’ve let the “mom” in me take over. I cannot remember the last time I dressed up to go out somewhere.
I’m not even a mom yet but since we don’t go anywhere that requires more than sweatpants and a ponytail, I’ve lost that desire, too. Although I’ve recently started wearing my hair down again. Perhaps that’s a step in the right direction.
Thanks for stopping by and good luck in the giveaways!
This is a fantastic book. I’ve read it and passed it along to a friend already. She loves it too!
I hope she enjoys it as much as you did! Thanks for stopping by and good luck in the giveaways!
I didn’t read her book yet, but it looks like something I would enjoy. I am a mother, and all mothers tend to ‘get’ each other… so i definitely plan on reading it! I also think the cover is hilarious, and something I might walk out the door wearing on one of those frazzled mornings:)
I’m not even a mother yet and I might walk out of the house like that! Haha.
Thanks for stopping by and good luck in the giveaways!
I can totally relate to the book, and I love the cover.
Excellent. I hope you enjoy it and spread the word for Lori! Thanks for stopping by and good luck in the giveaways!
Book looks interesting.
