Why I Might Be a Picky Reader

I haven’t posted in several days.

You guys miss me bad, right?

Well, I have good news for you then! You can mosey on over to Cindy Carroll’s blog, Guelph Write Now, and read my guest spot! That solves everything, doesn’t it? I’m glad. Now I’m going to go outside and play write.

  1. Great point about “Purple Prose.” I had to stop reading Franzen’s THE CORRECTIONS because of the pages of description that, in my opinion, added nothing to the story.

I’ve lost count of how many books I’ve read this year, but I don’t think it’s seventy. I’m in the middle of reading GO TELL IT ON THE MOUNTAIN by Baldwin, THE SUN ALSO RISES by Hemingway, and SLAUGHTERHOUSE-FIVE by Vonnegut. I usually read three books at a time; I can’t stand being without something to read, you know?

BTW, that was a great guest post!

    • Glad you liked the guest post and the part about purple prose!

I only know how many books I’ve read because I have record of them on my Books I’ve Read in Bed page. It’s easy to count the reviews, haha. I can’t believe you can read three books at once! I am having trouble reading one while critiquing a friend’s work. Wow. Good for you though.

And thanks for stopping by and clicking the link. Come again soon!
